As the Head Barista at our aerospace facility in Auckland, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the coffee experience for our employees and visitors. You will oversee daily operations of the café, ensuring efficient service and high-quality beverage preparation. Manage inventory, ordering, and supplier relationships to keep the café well-stocked and operational. Monitor and maintain equipment for optimal performance and health and safety compliance.

Lead, train, and mentor a team of baristas, fostering a collaborative and motivated work environment. Engage with customers to provide exceptional service and gather feedback for continuous improvement. Contribute to a positive workplace culture through your passion for coffee.

Develop and implement new beverage recipes and seasonal menus to enhance customer experience. Prepare reports on sales, customer preferences, and operational efficiency to inform management decisions. This role offers opportunities to drive innovation in our café offerings.

Requirements

Proven experience as a barista or in a similar role, preferably in a high-volume environment
Strong leadership skills with experience in team management and training
Excellent customer service skills and a passion for coffee culture
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and equipment maintenance
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and holidays
